Natalie Haché Losier, RN, BN, CNA oncology nursing certification, is currently enrolled in the thesis stream of a master of nursing program while working full time as a nursing consultant in the oncology unit at Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton. She is exemplary in knowledge, practice and motivation.

Natalie’s professional interests and expertise focus on chemotherapy-related cognitive changes, cancer-related fatigue, pain management, infection prevention in central venous access devices, health literacy in clients with learning challenges and e-learning.

She developed a certification program in chemotherapy for francophone nurses in New Brunswick, which has now been translated into English and made available for registered nurses (RNs) in oncology across the province. Natalie was a key player in the recent development of a research initiative involving recurring occlusions in central venous access devices. Results from this initiative have led to clinical practice changes and a poster presentation at the last annual conference of the Canadian Vascular Access Association.

Ms. Haché Losier is a member of the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology and the Oncology Nursing Society, and she was recently one of 15 Canadian registered nurses nominated for the Boehringer Ingelheim Oncology Nurse of the Year Award.
